An Almanac with a twist

Show what you would normally expect from an Almanac, Sunset/rise times, moonset/rise times, holidays, flagdays, position of the planets etc.

However with this Almanac you get to animate a daylight map, the suns movement over earth, the lunar phases, the moon orbit, even the entire solar system can be seen animated from a top view.

The planets can also be seen/animated in a sky view to track their progress over the sky.

All this to answer the basic question, "Where are we?" compared to the big picture, answered by showing with simple to understand graphics.

Since comet ISON is set to cross our path in the near future, this is included in the planet view, nobody know how bright it will be yet, ranging from as bright as the full moon to not visible at all, we will see, with this app you will be able to see ISONs trip through the Solar system

A build in compass will let you find the right direction to stare to find the planets, or will let you show and arrow pointing to your home or even an arrow pointing to any capital of the world.

A world clock will let you check the time around the world and show the position of the city.

But there is more, a map that lets you insert two points and then measure the distance between them, not the most exciting perhaps, but theres even a function to place common objects right in your backyard or wherever you want on the map, just to see how much space it would require, objects ranging from a Blue Whale, Boeing 747, a Saturn moon rocket, USS Nimitz, the Knock Nevis, Pentagon, Pyramids, France, UK, Texas and many more objects can be overlaid, all just for the sake of it.

Have fun
